Dropshipping Policies

This Dropshipping Policy governs all dropshipping-related transactions conducted through www.bombayseller.com (“Bombay Seller” or “we”). It applies to:

  • B2C Dropshipping (retail orders fulfilled by Bombay Seller)
  • Marketplace/White-label Dropshipping Partners
  • B2B Clients utilizing Bombay Seller for wholesale and fulfillment

1. 📋 Partnership & Agreement

  • All dropshipping arrangements must be formalized through a signed Dropshipping Agreement.
  • Partners must provide:
    • Business registration information
    • GST or tax documentation (if applicable)
    • Payment details and order integration method (dashboard/API) 

2. 📦 Product Listings & Data Accuracy

  • Product listings submitted by partners must include accurate:
    • Product names, SKUs, sizes, colors, images, specifications, pricing
  • Any inaccuracies in listings may result in returns, disputes, or account suspension.
  • Inventory must be regularly synchronized to avoid overselling. 

3. ⏱️ Order Processing & Fulfillment

Processing Timeline:

  • Orders are processed and dispatched within 2–3 business days of confirmation.

Fulfillment Flow:

1.       Partner sends order details via integrated system or email.

2.       Bombay Seller picks, packs, and ships the product directly to the customer.

3.       Tracking information is shared with the partner.

Packaging Options:

  • Standard Neutral Packaging (default)
  • Custom Branded Packaging (available for partners meeting MOQ; must be pre-approved)

Dispatch Origin:

  • All orders are shipped from Bombay Seller’s designated warehouse in Mumbai, Maharashtra. 

4. 🚚 Shipping & Delivery

Domestic (India):

  • Delivery Timeline: 4–7 business days
  • Courier Partners: Delhivery, Bluedart, DTDC, Xpressbees

International:

  • Delivery Timeline: 7–20 business days
  • International orders may incur customs duties or import taxes, payable by the customer

Shipping Charges:

  • Calculated based on location, dimensions, and service levels.
  • Can be prepaid or billed to the partner based on agreement.

Tracking:

  • Real-time tracking IDs will be provided for each shipment.
  • Partners are responsible for updating their customers with tracking status. 

5. 🔄 Returns, Replacements & Refunds

Return Eligibility:

  • Returns are accepted for the following reasons:
    • Damaged items
    • Wrong product received
    • Manufacturing defects
  • All return requests must be initiated within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photo/video proof.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Customized/personalized items
  • Final-sale or clearance items
  • Size-related returns (unless incorrect product delivered)

Refunds & Replacements:

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the partner’s account.
  • Replacements are dispatched at no additional cost for eligible cases.

Return Shipping Responsibility:

  • If the fault lies with Bombay Seller (e.g., wrong/damaged product), we bear the return shipping cost.
  • In other cases, return shipping is to be borne by the partner/customer, based on the agreement. 

6. 🧾 Payments & Commercial Terms

  • Payment terms are defined in the Dropshipping Agreement:
    • Options include prepaid credits, weekly billing, or net-15/30 terms.
  • Late payments may result in suspension of services or delayed order processing.
  • Invoices are generated for each billing cycle with GST (if applicable). 

7. 🧠 Intellectual Property & Brand Usage

  • Partners are not permitted to use Bombay Seller’s brand, images, or product content without written approval.
  • White-label or co-branded solutions must be discussed and approved beforehand. 

8. ⚖️ Liability & Limitations

  • Bombay Seller is not liable for:
    • Delays caused by courier companies or customs authorities
    • Orders placed with inaccurate recipient information
    • Product misuse or damages post-delivery
  • Maximum liability is limited to the order value in dispute. 

9. Partner Responsibilities

  • Ensure product listings and stock levels are current and accurate.
  • Respond to customer queries or complaints in a timely manner.
  • Provide prompt order confirmations and payment settlements.
  • Maintain ethical and transparent sales practices across marketplaces. 

10. 📞 Support & Escalations

  • Partner support is available Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST.

11. 🔚 Policy Modifications & Termination

  • Bombay Seller reserves the right to update or modify this policy with notice.
  • The partnership may be terminated by either party with 15 days' written notice, except in cases involving fraud or violation of core terms.
